Interlocking devices without guard locking
Interlocks without guard locking are safety devices used in the context of industrial automation and designed to stop the dangerous functions of a machine as soon as the guard is opened.

Immediate access to protected areas
Unlike systems with guard locking, these interlocks are used when it is necessary to guarantee effective protection for machinery without inertia.
These devices act exclusively on the control circuit of the machine. When the guard is opened, they send a stop signal that disconnects power to dangerous elements.

Application of interlocks without guard locking
Interlocks without guard locking are installed when the time required for the machine to stop is less than the time required for a person to reach the danger area. This time is calculated according to the principle set out in standard EN ISO 13855.
The use of interlocks without guard locking is set out in standard EN ISO 14119, which defines the design and installation requirements to avoid circumvention of the system.
Advantages of Pizzato interlocks without guard locking
