Devices for lift

Pizzato has developed a range of dedicated products and devices for lift industry. These solutions are designed to meet any application requirements, during installation, maintenance and inspection activity.

Compliance with standards EN 81-20/EN 81-50

Full compliance with these two standards ensures that every Pizzato product meets the technical requirements for integration into modern lift systems, thereby guaranteeing safety and reliability.

  • EN 81-20 sets out safety rules for the construction and installation of electric and hydraulic lifts.
  • EN 81-50 establishes rules for the design, calculation, verification and testing of lift components.

Solutions designed for lift industry

Car ceiling

All applications on the car ceiling require a control device unit for inspection. This should be permanently installed and easily accessible to maintenance personnel. Pizzato EL series maintenance control device units enable safe control, movement and testing during maintenance operations.

Lift shaft and under-car area

During maintenance, visual and acoustic signals must activate when the lift is in motion, as set out by standard EN 81-20 (5.12.1.8). Pizzato offers a range of products specially designed for this type of function, enabling activation of signalling, via dedicated control device units or rope switches to control lights, as well as their transmission using integrated buzzers or indicator lights.

Doors

Pizzato position switches, safety contacts and interlocks with lock can be installed in the shaft and on landing and cabin doors, guaranteeing compliance with standard EN 81-20 (5.11.2.2.1).

Lift-shaft pit

The lift-shaft pit must contain devices enabling the emergency-stop function as well as dedicated maintenance control device units. Pizzato offers a range of solid, scalable solutions with high protection degrees.

Control panel

Correct car stopping and precise alignment with floor level require dedicated levelling and re-levelling control systems, in compliance with point 5.12.1.4 of standard EN 81-20. Pizzato’s CS AR-9 modules perform this type of function and more. They also check the correct operation of the machine brake, helping to prevent unintended movements and maintain system safety conditions.

Control device units are also required in this area for checks to be performed, as well as a bypass device that can be padlocked to prevent unauthorised use of the panel.
