Lock-out devices
Pizzato lock-out devices are designed to mechanically lock guards, preventing access to danger areas or unexpected activation of machinery during maintenance, cleaning and repair activity.

Functioning of lock-out devices
Depending on the type of lock-out device installed, the operator can attach their own personal padlock through holes at dedicated safety points. This locks the interlock in the open position or physically prevents entry of the actuator into the switch.

Integration with interlocks and safety handles
Pizzato lock-out systems are designed for integration with the brand’s leading ranges of interlocks and handles.
For interlocks with RFID technology and the corresponding safety handles, the lock-out device performs a dual function: in addition to mechanically blocking the actuator entry hole, it also shields the antenna of the RFID receiver on the switch.

Multiple padlock holes
For situations involving various operators working simultaneously, it is possible to attach multiple padlocks to the lock-out device (up to 12, depending on the model). Each operator can attach their own personal padlock to the device and the machine can only be restarted when the final operator has completed their work and removed their padlock.
