Contact blocks

Contact blocks are electromechanical elements that can be paired with control devices, intended for commutation of electrical circuits. When the device actuator is triggered, the contact block opens or closes connections, sending the electrical signal to the control system of the machine.

Single contact blocks

Single contact blocks are available with NO or NC contacts, with panel or base mounting. All NC contacts are suitable for safety applications because they feature positive opening.

In addition to standard screw-on and soldered connections, Pizzato also offers versions with PUSH-IN spring-operated connection for quick and easy wiring.

Double contact blocks

Double contact blocks are available with 2NO, 2NC or 1NO+1NC contacts, with panel or base mounting. All NC contacts are suitable for safety applications because they feature positive opening.

Double contact blocks have the same dimensions as single units. This makes them interchangeable or stackable with multiple levels, combining single and double modules, offering greater flexibility during installation and wiring.

Self-monitored contact blocks

Designed to quickly identify any faults due to incorrect installation of devices, these units can detect accidental detachment of the contact block from the button body or removal of the housing cover.

The system is built around two NC contacts connected in series, with both contacts therefore closed under normal operating conditions. If the contact block becomes separated from the body of the button, the second contact is open, breaking the safety circuit.

Protected contact blocks

Equipped with an external cover that protects the electrical contacts within, these units are ideal for installation in switching cabinets or industrial environments with large quantities of dust or residues. Their sealed design enables protection degrees up to IP67 and IP69K.

The buttons, two-position selectors and emergency-stop buttons of the EROUND range can be used as normal actuators in the protected contact blocks combined with FR, FK, and FX series housings.

LED units

Designed for use with illuminated devices, these units utilise high-intensity LEDs for maximum visibility. They are available, in a range of colours, in versions with a steady or blinking light and offer the same connection types as single contact blocks: screw-on, soldered or PUSH-IN spring-operated.
